I saw a car on fire on my drive to work this morning, crazy stuff...
(4th car up on the right, in front of the bus)
I just read a sick interview with JP Solberg. After reading it, I'm fully backing and stoked on him, RDM, DCP, Tadashi and Yes.nowboard. I'll post a link to the interview later on tonight when I'm at home.

I'm looking forward to an awesome holiday with my family this weekend and also really hoping I get to shred this weekend as well. I hope everyone has a fun, safe holiday.

I finally got my first day of riding in earlier today. Blue skies, powder (yes, powder), not too crowded...good times.

Wednesday, December 16, 2009

Seriously, Sheetz cheese/veggie hoagies are the best thing ever.

Sunday, December 13, 2009

Yeah......I thought I was finally going to get to go riding this morning...not happening. I'm stuck in my car about 5 minutes from my house. I guess an ice storm hit us last night. Bumper to bumper chaos, lovely.

Ewww, I don't like that verizon plug at the bottom of the previous post.

Shredding Time

I unearthed my Celtek Wu-Tang gloves today...shredding time is finally here.

Doing away with the 'post count'

When I first started this blog I had the bright idea to number/count the entries (not including the "review" posts). Eh, I've grown tired of it so from now on it's whatever I feel like typing into the subject field when I post something. Change is good.

Just testing...

I just read that Forum Snowboards has enlisted a viking to join their pro line up in the form of one Andreas Wiig. Didn't see that one coming, I like it though. I'm a fan of team roster shake ups.

No one to blame but myself, so my bad.
It's finally starting to get cold here in the Pittsburgh area, I saw my first snowflakes of the year yesterday...stoked. As soon my local mountain has some snow I'll be there bright and early (well, as bright and early as a married, father of an 18 month old daughter, full time job having guy can be). And as soon as that day comes look for reviews of my new gear I picked up for this season (Bataleon, Drake, Northwave, Holden, Anon). In the meantime, be sure to keep your eyes peeled for reviews of Standard Films' Black Winter and Absinthe Films' Neverland coming up sooner, rather than later.

Bataleon Releases USA Special Edition Fun.Kink

Spread doves, not war! The Fun.Kink gets a face-lift. Designed to the exact specifications of our US team riders, the funnest of fun boards takes everything that’s great about the Fun.Kink but ads twin inserts set extra wide for extra steez, a twin core profile and a tie-dye graphic with 50 doves for love and peace.

Hear what US Team Rider JP Tomich has to say about the Fun.Kink USA Edition: “The Fun.Kink has been a go to board for me when I know the day is going to involve a really fun park or some rail or urban feature. It’s a board that can handle every type of condition out there on the hill and the Triple Base Tech can turn anyone's basic turning skills up a notch.”

This board being the ├╝ber-fun rail and park slayer is a message echoed by fellow team rider Mark Edlund. “The Fun.Kink is how it sounds, just a fun board to jib around on and a good flex to boardslide kinks. I like this board for urban jibbing and cruisin parks.”

Pick up a USA Special Edition Fun.Kink and try a piece of Triple Base awesomeness. Hit up mrb@bataleon.com or visit www.bataleon.com and find out where you can strap into a Bataleon this season. YEAH FOR IT!

I got attacked by some type of monstrous bee or wasp or hornet (not sure, I couldn't actually see it) yesterday while working and it stung the shit out of me on the side of my head. It was seriously awesome.

I'm working on some new First and Last's with some interesting people...stoked is an understatement I'm also trying to get some new gear that I can review for the site, we'll have to wait and see how that pans out. Hmmmm, what else...I'm pretty damn excited that Fall is almost here. I can't wait for the leaves to start changing colors, that's the best thing ever. Slipping on a hoody and skating down the street, powersliding through the leaves. I look forward to this time of the year every year.
