It's going on two weeks since I injured my ankle and things are looking bright. It's feeling a lot better and I have high hopes that I'll get to at least go riding a few more times this season. We're supposed to get some snow tonight all the way through Friday, so I'm tossing around the idea of heading to the mountain on Saturday for a run or two to see how my ankle holds up. I'm a little weary though of jumping the gun and reinjuring it.

In other news, the Olympics have been pretty good. White and Lago killed it...as did Hannah, Clark and Bright. I'm looking forward to some good hockey match up from now until Sunday (go Canada). Also, I'm looking forward to finally going to see Avatar at an Imax theater on Sunday.

Look for some reviews coming up soon...

Injured...

Yesterday after I got home from work my wife and I were attempting to remove some of the snow from our front porch awning (which was buckling from the weight). During this time I rolled my left ankle pretty badly. It's swollen and discolored a bit, and extremely sore. I'm no noob to ankle injuries as I've been suffering from rolled ankles for most of my like (skateboarding)....multiple ligament tears, not properly healing, leads to more injuries more often. Now, I'm faced with the reality of possibly not being able to ride again until NEXT winter, ugh. I still have the Olympics and Lost to look forward to...and in a few months, once the weather breaks, I'll have skateboarding *knock on wood*. Still, having snowboarding taken away from me in the dead of winter is a heart breaker.

Where to start...

So, last Friday it started to snow...by 9pm our house was without power, heat, and cable...by Saturday afternoon we had about 2 feet of snow and still no power and heat, so we packed up and moved in with some family until things were up and running again at our humble yet frigid abode...our power was back on Monday night and we moved back in and things have been quite peachy and back to normal I guess...other than the state of emergency for our area and the roads sucking arse...it's snowing again right now and the roads are still sucking pretty bad, but I'm still out and about working in my company vehicle (Chevy Aveo, it's incredible in the snow)...through all of this snowy drama I still have yet to touch my snowboard, which sucks but oh well, what am I to do?...I'm hoping to get to ride this weekend if the roads get cleaned up a bit so I'll have to wait and see...until then I'm home
bound with my family, which is actually quite fun...
