Think snow.

Every weekend that 7 Springs or Hidden Valley has been open this year thus far has either been 60 degrees or rain. I'm only able to go riding on the weekends so this puts a damper on my likelihood of going riding. I'm off work on New Year's Day, the forecast is looking favorable, and if the stars are aligned it looks like I'll finally be able to go riding. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I was supposed to go riding last weekend (first time this season) but due to some unforeseen circumstances it didn't happen. This weekend it's supposed to be 67 degrees. I'm thinking I'll go roll around somewhere while the weather permits it. But still, I want to ride on snow so bad.

Got my boots...

When all was said and done I went with the most flexible boot I could find, the 32 boots JP Walker. I've tried them on twice now, wore them around the house a bit to try to get them flexing a they're not super stuff when I go riding. Thus far I'm digging them. Super comfy. For the past, I don't know how many seasons, I've been wearing 9.5's. And at times I'd seriously be wondering if it's worth downsizing that half a size with how much discomfort I put myself through. With that in mind I went ahead and ordered these 32's in a size 10.
Instantly, I feel the difference. I can actually wiggle my toes. I think it was the right decision. I wish I would have bitten the bullet and done this years ago. I'll be writing more about these boots after I've ridden in them. Which will hopefully be this weekend. *fingers crossed*

December is amongst is.

Decemeber is here, southwestern PA has seen snow, not mass quantities but snow nonetheless. I have new gear on its way to me, can't wait to have it in hand, set it up, and actually go riding. In my never ending quest for a more noodley, skate-like experience I went with a softer board (DWD Maet) and one of the softest boots I could find (32 JP Walker boot). First we need some significant snowfall though. Which may be quite a while. 7 Springs' man made snow it is again unless we get some freak snow storm. I'll be happy to just go riding, I don't care if it's on sand. Riding is riding. I'll be sure to take some photos and post them here when my time comes. In the meantime, stare at the aftermath of Sean Malto's ankle exploding.
