Go figure.

After being on a family vacation for a week (Carnival Cruise, which was very nice and very much needed), and then it took all of last week to get adjusted to the daily grind, I headed up to 7 Springs yesterday to check out the goings on of the US Open Qualifiers.

I didn't last too long there. I got some free stuff at the tents that I really didn't need then decided to hop back in my car and drive down to Hidden Valley to get my shred on.

I did in fact "get my shred on." I actually hit some jumps and slid some boxes. Which, for my 35 year old decaying body is quite the feat. Not that I did anything spectacular...and I'm sure I looked like a breaching whale. But whatever, I have fun and that's what it's all about right, having fun? When I starting riding it was a little foggy and kinda raining on and off. By the time I has enough, I couldn't see 10 feet in front of me, it was pouring, and I was soaked. I make the drive home, and a few hours later it's snowing. I wake up this morning to find that my daughter's school is cancelled and this is what it looks like outside.

Go figure.
I'm hoping it looks like this come this weekend when I can go ride again. But as per usual, it'll be 45 degrees and rain. And I'll probably still go try to ride in it. It's all about having fun right?
